"اليوم الموعود يوم القيامة والشاهد يوم الجمعة والمشهود يوم عرفة ويوم الجمعة ذخره الله لنا وصلاة الوسطى صلاة العصر"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The Promised Day is the Day of Resurrection, the Witness (shahid) is the day of Friday, and the Witnessed (mashhud, that which is attended) is the day of Arafah. Allah has reserved the day of Friday especially for us, and the middle prayer is the Asr prayer."
