«إذا مضى شطر الليل أو ثلثاه ينزل الله إلى السماء الدنيا فيقول: هل من سائل فيعطى؟ هل من داع فيستجاب له؟ هل من مستغفر فيغفر له؟ حتى ينفجر الصبح»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When half of the night or two thirds of it has passed, Allah Almighty descends to the lowest heaven and says: 'Is there anyone asking, that he may be given? Is there anyone supplicating, that his supplication may be answered? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness, that he may be forgiven?' (Allah Almighty continues to call out in this way) until the true dawn breaks."
