«يا معشر الأنصار! ما حديث أتاني عنكم؟ ألا ترضون أن يذهب الناس بالأموال وتذهبون برسول الله حتى تدخلوه في بيوتكم؟ لوأخذت الناس شعبا وأخذت الأنصار شعبا أخذت شعب الأنصار»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Ansar! What is this that has reached me about you? Are you not pleased that the people should go away with wealth while you go away with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), until you bring him into your homes? If all the people took one mountain pass and the Ansar took another, I would take the mountain pass of the Ansar."
