«إذا مات ولد العبد قال الله تعالى لملائكته: قبضتم ولد عبدي؟ فيقولون: نعم فيقول: قبضتم ثمرة فؤاده؟ فيقولون: نعم، فيقول: ماذا قال عبدي؟ فيقولون: حمدك واسترجع فيقول الله تعالى: ابنوا لعبدي بيتا في الجنة وسموه بيت الحمد»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When a servant's child dies, Allah Almighty says to His angels: 'Have you taken the soul of My servant's child?' They say: 'Yes.' Then Allah says: 'Have you taken the fruit (the piece) of his heart?' They say: 'Yes.' Then Allah says: 'So what did My servant say?' They say: 'He praised You and said: Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (We belong to Allah and to Him we return).' Then Allah Almighty says: 'Build for My servant a house in Paradise and name it Bayt al-Hamd (the House of Praise).'"
