Sahih al-Jami al-Saghir 7639 — It is not permissible for the freed
«لا يحل أن يتولى مولى رجل مسلم بغير إذنه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"It is not permissible for the freed slave of a Muslim man to take someone else as his patron (wala') without his permission."
