«هل منكم رجل إذ أتى أهله فأغلق عليه بابه وألقى عليه ستره واستتر بستر الله؟ قالوا: نعم قال: ثم يجلس بعد ذلك فيقول: فعلت كذا فعلت كذا فسكتوا ثم أقبل على النساء فقال: هل منكن من تحدث؟ فسكتن فجثت فتاة كعاب على إحدى ركبتيها وتطأولت لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ليراها ويسمع كلامها فقالت: يا رسول الله! إنهم ليحدثون وإنهن ليحدثن فقال: هل تدرون ما مثل ذلك؟ إنما مثل ذلك مثل شيطانة لقيت شيطانا في السكة فقضى حاجته والناس ينظرون إليه! ألا إن طيب الرجال ما ظهر ريحه ولم يظهر لونه ألا إن طيب النساء ما ظهر لونه ولم يظهر ريحه ألا لا يفضين رجل إلى رجل ولا امرأة إلى امرأة إلا إلى ولد أو والد»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Is there a man among you who, when he comes to his wife, closes his door, draws his curtain, and conceals himself with the covering of Allah?" The Companions said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then after that he sits and says: 'I did such-and-such, I did such-and-such.'" They all fell silent. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to the women and said: "Does any of you speak of such things?" They too fell silent. Then a young girl knelt on one of her knees and raised herself up so that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) could see her and hear what she said, and she said: "O Messenger of Allah! The men speak of these things and the women speak of them too!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you know what the likeness of that is? The likeness of that is only that of a female devil who met a male devil in the street and he fulfilled his need with her while the people were watching! Beware! The perfume of men is that whose scent is apparent and whose colour is not apparent, and the perfume of women is that whose colour is apparent and whose scent is not apparent. Beware! No man should go close to another man, nor any woman to another woman, except with a child or a parent."
