«إذا ظهر السوء في الأرض أنزل الله بأسه بأهل الأرض وإن كان فيهم قوم صالحون يصيبهم ما أصاب الناس ثم يرجعون إلى رحمة الله ومغفرته»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When evil and sin become widespread on the earth, Allah Almighty sends down His punishment upon the people of the earth, even if there are righteous people among them. The affliction that befalls the people in general befalls them (the righteous) as well, then they (the righteous) return to the mercy of Allah and His forgiveness."
