"أتاني جبريل فقال: إني كنت أتيتك البارحة فلم يمنعني أن أكون دخلت عليك البيت الذي كنت فيه إلا أنه كان على الباب ¤ تماثيل وكان في البيت قرام ستر فيه تماثيل وكان في البيت كلب فمر برأس التمثال الذي في البيت فليقطع فيصير كهيئة الشجرة ومر بالستر فليقطع فيجعل وسادتين منبذتين توطئان ومر بالكلب فليخرج"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Jibril came to me and said: I came to you last night, but nothing prevented me from entering the house you were in except that there were statues at its door, inside the house there was a curtain bearing images, and inside the house there was a dog. So give the order concerning the head of the statue in the house that it be cut off so that it becomes like the shape of a tree; give the order concerning the curtain that it be cut up and made into two cushions to be trodden upon (put to use); and give the order concerning the dog that it be put out of the house."
