«نحن أحق بالشك من إبراهيم إذ قال: {رَبِّ أَرِنِي كَيْفَ تُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى قَالَ أولَمْ تُؤْمِنْ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي} ويرحم الله لوطا لقد كان يأوي إلى ركن شديد ولو لبثت في السجن طول ما لبث يوسف لأجبت الداعي»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"We are more entitled to doubt than Ibrahim (peace be upon him), when he said: 'My Lord! Show me how You give life to the dead.' Allah said: 'Do you not believe?' He said: 'Yes indeed! But so that my heart may be at rest.' And may Allah have mercy on Lut (peace be upon him); he was indeed taking refuge in a mighty support. And had I remained in prison as long as Yusuf (peace be upon him) remained, I would have responded to the one who summoned me at once."
