«إذا صليتم علي فقولوا: اللهم صل على محمد النبي الأمي وعلى آل محمد كما صليت على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم وبارك على محمد النبي الأمي وعلى آل محمد كما باركت على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When you send blessings upon me, say: 'O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and upon the family of Ibrahim; and bestow Your favour upon Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and upon the family of Muhammad, as You bestowed Your favour upon Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Most Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.'"
