«أتاني جبريل فقال: بشر أمتك أنه من مات لا يشرك بالله شيئا دخل الجنة قلت: يا جبريل وإن سرق وإن زنى؟ قال: نعم قلت: وإن سرق وإن زنى؟ قال: نعم قلت: وإن سرق وإن زنى؟ قال: نعم وإن شرب الخمر»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Jibril came to me and said: Give your Ummah the glad tidings that whoever dies without having associated anything with Allah will enter Paradise. I asked: O Jibril! Even if he stole and even if he committed adultery? He said: Yes. I asked (again): Even if he stole and even if he committed adultery? He said: Yes. I asked (a third time): Even if he stole and even if he committed adultery? He said: Yes, and even if he drank wine."
