«من أنظر معسرا فله بكل يوم مثله صدقة قبل أن يحل الدين فإذا حل الدين فأنظره فله بكل يوم مثلاه صدقة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever grants respite to a debtor in hardship, then for every day before the debt falls due he receives the like of it as charity; and when the debt falls due and he still grants him respite, then for every day he receives twice as much as charity."
