«من استعف أعفه الله ومن استغنى أغناه الله ومن سأل الناس وله عدل خمس أواق فقد سأل إلحافا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever seeks to refrain from asking, Allah keeps him from it; whoever seeks self-sufficiency, Allah makes him self-sufficient; and whoever asks people while he has the equivalent of five uqiyah has asked with unjustified insistence."
