«إذا سألتم الله تعالى فاسألوه ببطون أكفكم ولا تسألوه بظهورها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When you supplicate to Allah Almighty, ask Him with the inner side (i.e. the palms) of your hands, and do not ask Him with the backs of your hands."
