«إذا سافرتم في الخصب فأعطوا الإبل حظها من الأرض وإذا سافرتم في السنة فأسرعوا عليها السير وإذا عرستم بالليل فاجتنبوا الطريق فإنها طرق الدواب ومأوى الهوام بالليل»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When you travel in times of greenery and plenty, give the camels their share of the land (for grazing); and when you travel in a year of drought, hasten your journey on them; and when you halt in the last part of the night, rest away from the road (to one side), for these common thoroughfares are the paths of beasts and the dwelling places of vermin (insects and creeping things) at night."
