«مثل المجاهد في سبيل الله والله أعلم بمن يجاهد في سبيله كمثل الصائم القائم الدائم الذي لا يفتر من صيام ولا صدقة حتى يرجع وتوكل الله تعالى للمجاهد في سبيله إن توفاه أن يدخله الجنة أو يرجعه سالما مع أجر أو غنيمة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The example of the one who strives (does jihad) in the path of Allah - and Allah knows best who strives in His path - is like the one who continually fasts and stands in prayer, who does not tire of fasting and charity until he returns. And Allah Almighty has guaranteed for the one who strives in His path that if He causes him to die, He will admit him into Paradise, or else He will return him safe and sound with reward or spoils of war."
