«مثل المؤمن كمثل خامة الزرع من حيث أتتها الريح كفأتها فإذا سكنت اعتدلت وكذلك المؤمن يكفأ بالبلاء ومثل الفاجر كالأرزة صماء معتدلة حتى يقصمها الله تعالى إذا شاء»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The example of the believer is like a tender stalk of crops: from whichever direction the wind comes to it, it bends it, and when the wind subsides it stands straight again. Likewise the believer is bent by trials. And the example of the wicked person is like a sturdy, upright cedar tree, until Allah Almighty breaks it whenever He wills."
