«ما على الأرض مسلم يدعوالله بدعوة إلا آتاه الله إياها أو صرف عنه من السوء مثلها ما لم يدع بإثم أو قطيعة رحم ما لم يعجل يقول: قد دعوت ودعوت فلم يستجب لي»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whenever any Muslim on earth asks Allah for something in supplication, Allah grants it to him or averts from him an equal amount of evil, as long as he does not supplicate for sin or for severing family ties, and as long as he is not hasty, saying: 'I supplicated a great deal, but my supplication was not answered.'"
