«إذا رأيت الله تعالى يعطي العبد من الدنيا ما يحب وهو مقيم على معاصيه فإنما ذلك منه استدراج»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When you see Allah Almighty granting a servant the worldly blessings that he loves, while he (the servant) persists in his disobedience (sins), then know for certain that this is only Allah giving him respite (istidraj)."
