«أتاني آت من عند ربي فخيرني بين أن يدخل نصف أمتي الجنة وبين الشفاعة فاخترت الشفاعة وهي لمن مات لا يشرك بالله شيئا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"One came to me from my Lord (an angel), and he gave me the choice: either half of my Ummah would be admitted into Paradise, or I would be given the right of intercession. So I chose intercession, and this intercession will be for everyone who dies in a state of not having associated anything with Allah."
