«لينتهين أقوام يفتخرون بآبائهم الذين ماتوا إنما هم فحم جهنم أو ليكونن أهون على الله من الجعل الذي يدهده الخرء بأنفه إن الله أذهب عنكم عبية الجاهلية وفخرها بالآباء إنما هو مؤمن تقي أو فاجر شقي الناس كلهم بنوآدم وآدم خلق من التراب»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people who boast about their dead forefathers must certainly stop doing so; those forefathers are but the coal of Hell. Otherwise, they will become more insignificant in the sight of Allah than the dung beetle that rolls filth with its nose. Indeed, Allah has removed from you the arrogance of the Jahiliyyah and its boasting about forefathers. A person is either a God-fearing believer or a wretched sinner. All people are the children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust."
