«أتاكم أهل اليمن هم أرق أفئدة وألين قلوبا الإيمان يمان والحكمة يمانية والفخر والخيلاء في أصحاب الإبل والسكينة والوقار في أهل الغنم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The people of Yemen have come to you; they are the softest and most tender of heart. Faith is Yemeni and wisdom too is Yemeni. Pride and arrogance are among the camel owners, while tranquillity and dignity are among the shepherds of sheep (that is, the people of the flocks)."
