«إذا دخل أهل الجنة الجنة وأهل النار النار يجاء بالموت كأنه كبش أملح فيوقف بين الجنة والنار فيقال: يا أهل الجنة هل تعرفون هذا؟ فيشرئبون فينظرون ويقولون: نعم هذا الموت وكلهم قد رآه, ثم ينادى: يا أهل النار هل تعرفون هذا؟ فيشرئبون فينظرون فيقولون: نعم هذا الموت وكلهم قد رآه فيؤمر به فيذبح ويقال: يا أهل الجنة خلود ولا موت ويا أهل النار خلود ولا موت»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise and the people of Hell have entered Hell, death will be brought in the form of a black-and-white ram and made to stand between Paradise and Hell. Then it will be said: 'O people of Paradise! Do you recognise this?' They will raise their necks and look, and say: 'Yes, this is death.' And all of them will have seen it. Then it will be called out: 'O people of Hell! Do you recognise this?' They too will raise their necks and look, and say: 'Yes, this is death.' And all of them will have seen it. Then the command will be given and it will be slaughtered, and it will be said: 'O people of Paradise! Now you will remain here forever, and there is no death. And O people of Hell! Now you will remain here forever, and there is no death.'"
