«للشهيد عند الله سبع خصال: يغفر له في أول دفعة من دمه ويرى مقعده من الجنة ويحلى حلة الإيمان ويزوج اثنين وسبعين زوجة من الحور العين ويجار من عذاب القبر ويأمن من الفزع الأكبر ويوضع على رأسه تاج الوقار الياقوتة منه خير من الدنيا وما فيها ويشفع في سبعين إنسانا من أهل بيته»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The martyr has seven qualities with Allah: he is forgiven with the very first drop of his blood; he is shown his place in Paradise; he is clothed in the garment of faith; he is married to seventy-two wives from among the Hur al-Ayn (wide-eyed maidens of Paradise); he is protected from the punishment of the grave; he is kept safe from the Greatest Terror; a crown of dignity is placed on his head, a single ruby of which is better than the world and everything in it; and he is granted intercession for seventy people of his household."
