«لقد دنت مني الجنة حتى لو اجترأت عليها لجئتكم بقطاف من قطافها ودنت مني النار حتى قلت: أي رب! وأنا فيهم؟ ورأيت امرأة تخدشها هرة لها فقلت: ما شأن هذه؟ قال: حبستها حتى ماتت جوعا لا هي أطعمتها ولا هي أرسلتها تأكل من خشاش الأرض»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Paradise was brought so near to me that, had I dared, I would have brought you some of its fruits; and the Fire was brought so near to me that I said: 'O Lord! Will I be among them too?' And I saw a woman being scratched by her cat. I asked: 'What is the matter with her?' It was said: 'She confined it until it died of hunger; she neither fed it nor let it go so that it could eat the creatures of the earth.'"
