«إذا خلص المؤمنون من النار حبسوا بقنطرة بين الجنة والنار فيتقاصون مظالم كانت بينهم في الدنيا حتى إذا نقوا وهذبوا أذن لهم بدخول الجنة فوالذي نفس محمد بيده لأحدهم بمسكنه في الجنة أدل منه بمسكنه كان في الدنيا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When the believers have crossed over (the bridge of) Hell, they will be held back on a bridge between Paradise and Hell, and they will take retribution (qisas) from one another for the wrongs they committed against each other in the world, until, when they have been completely purified and cleansed, they will be given permission to enter Paradise. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Each one of them will know the way to his home in Paradise better than he knew the way to his home in the world."
