«إذا خطب أحدكم المرأة فلا جناح عليه أن ينظر إليها إذا كان إنما ينظر إليها لخطبته وإن كانت لا تعلم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When any of you proposes marriage to a woman, there is no sin on him in looking at her, provided that he is looking at her solely with the intention of marriage, even if the woman is not aware (of his looking)."
