«كان يتعوذ من الجان وعين الإنسان حتى نزلت المعوذتان فلما نزلتا أخذ بهما وترك ما سواهما»
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"He (peace and blessings be upon him) used to seek refuge from the jinn and from the evil eye of man, until the Mu'awwidhatan (Surah al-Falaq and Surah al-Nas) were revealed. When they were revealed, he adopted them and left everything besides them."
