«كان لا يصلي قبل العيد شيئا فإذا رجع إلى منزله صلى ركعتين»
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"He (peace and blessings be upon him) would not pray any prayer before Eid, but when he returned to his house he would pray two rak'ahs."
