"كان له ملحفة مصبوغة بالورس والزعفران يدور بها على نسائه فإذا كانت ليلة هذه رشتها بالماء وإذا كانت ليلة هذه رشتها بالماء وإذا كانت ليلة هذه رشتها بالماء"
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"He (peace and blessings be upon him) had a sheet dyed with wars and saffron, which he would wear when going round to his wives in turn, and when it was the night of one of the wives, she would sprinkle that sheet with water."
