«إذا تكلم الله بالوحى سمع أهل السماء الدنيا صلصلة كجر السلسلة على الصفا فيصعقون فلا يزالون كذلك حتى يأتيهم جبريل حتى إذا جاءهم جبريل فزع عن قلوبهم فيقولون: يا جبريل ماذا قال ربك؟ فيقول: الحق. فيقولون: الحق الحق»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When Allah Almighty speaks through revelation, the angels of the lowest heaven hear a clanging like a chain being dragged over a smooth rock, and they fall unconscious. They remain in that state until Jibril (peace be upon him) comes to them. Then, when Jibril reaches them, the terror is removed from their hearts and they ask: 'O Jibril, what has your Lord said?' He answers: 'He has spoken the truth.' Then all those angels also call out: 'He has spoken the truth, He has spoken the truth.'"
