«الصائم المتطوع أمير نفسه إن شاء صام وإن شاء أفطر»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"One who observes a voluntary fast is in charge of himself: if he wishes he may complete the fast, and if he wishes he may break it."
