«إذا أصاب المكاتب حدا أو ورث ميراثا فإنه يورث على قدر ما عتق ويقام عليه بقدر ما عتق منه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When a mukatab (a slave who has made a contract to pay a price for his freedom) becomes liable to a hadd (prescribed punishment) or receives an inheritance, he shall be given inheritance in proportion to the extent he has been freed, and the hadd shall be applied to him in proportion to the part of him that has been freed."
