«خمروا الآنية وأوكئوا الأسقية وأجيفوا الأبواب واكفتوا صبيانكم عند المساء فإن للجن انتشارا وخطفة وأطفئوا المصابيح عند الرقاد فإن الفويسقة ربما اجترت الفتيلة فأحرقت أهل البيت»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Cover the vessels, tie up the mouths of the waterskins, close the doors, and keep your children with you in the evening, for at that time the jinn spread out and snatch away; and put out the lamps when you go to sleep, for sometimes a mouse may drag the wick and burn the people of the house."
