"الحلال بين والحرام بين وبينهما أمور مشتبهات لا يعلمها كثير من الناس فمن اتقى الشبهات فقد استبرأ لعرضه ودينه ومن وقع في الشبهات وقع في الحرام كراع يرعى حول الحمى يوشك أن يواقعه ألا وإن لكل ملك حمى ألا وإن حمى الله تعالى في أرضه محارمه ألا وإن في الجسد مضغة إذا صلحت صلح الجسد كله وإذا فسدت فسد الجسد كله ألا وهي القلب"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters which many people do not know. So whoever guards himself against the doubtful matters has safeguarded his religion and his honour, and whoever falls into the doubtful matters falls into the unlawful, like a shepherd who grazes his animals around a protected pasture, about to stray into it. Beware! Every king has a protected pasture. Beware! The protected pasture of Allah Almighty on His earth is the things He has forbidden. Beware! In the body there is a piece of flesh; if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Beware! It is the heart."
