"إذا أرسلت كلبك المعلم فقتل فكل, وإذا أكل فلا تأكل فإنما أمسك على نفسه, وإن وجدت معه كلبا آخر فلا تأكل فإنما سميت على كلبك ولم تسم على كلب آخر"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When you release your trained dog and it kills (the game), then eat it; and if it eats some of it, then do not eat, for it has then caught it for itself. And if you find another dog with it, then do not eat, for you pronounced (the name of Allah) over your own dog and not over any other dog."
