«تبسمك في وجه أخيك لك صدقة وأمرك بالمعررف ونهيك عن المنكر صدقة وإرشادك الرجل في أرض الضلال لك صدقة وإماطتك الحجر والشوك والعظم عن الطريق لك صدقة وإفراغك من دلوك في دلو أخيك لك صدقة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Your smiling in the face of your Muslim brother is charity for you; your enjoining good and forbidding evil is charity; your showing the way to a person who has gone astray is charity for you; your removing a stone, a thorn and a bone from the road is charity for you; and your pouring water from your bucket into your brother's bucket is also charity for you."
