«تأتي الإبل على ربها على خير ما كانت إذا هي لم يعط فيها حقها تطؤه بأخفافها وتأتي الغنم على ربها على خير ما كانت إذا لم يعط فيها حقها تطؤه بأظلافها وتنطحه بقرونها ومن حقها أن تحلب على الماء ألا لا يأتين أحدكم يوم القيامة ببعير يحمله على رقبته له رغاء فيقول: يا محمد! فأقول: لا أملك لك شيئا قد بلغت ألا لا يأتين أحدكم يوم القيامة بشاة يحملها على رقبته لها يعار فيقول: يا محمد! فأقول: لا أملك لك شيئا قد بلغت ويكون كنز أحدكم يوم القيامة شجاعا أقرع يفر منه صاحبه ويطلبه: أنا كنزك فلا يزال حتى يلقمه إصبعه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"On the Day of Resurrection, camels will come to their owner in their best and fattest condition; if he had not paid Allah's right on them (zakah), they will trample him with their feet. And sheep and goats will come to their owner in their best condition; if he had not paid their right, they will trample him with their hooves and butt him with their horns. And one of their rights is that they be milked at the watering place. Beware! Let none of you come on the Day of Resurrection carrying on his neck a camel that is groaning, and call out to me: 'O Muhammad!' For I will answer him: 'I have no power to do anything for you; I had conveyed the message.' Beware! Let none of you come on the Day of Resurrection carrying on his neck a goat that is bleating, and call out to me: 'O Muhammad!' For I will answer him: 'I have no power to do anything for you; I had conveyed the message.' And the treasure of any one of you (who did not pay zakah) will become, on the Day of Resurrection, a bald venomous snake; its owner will flee from it, and the snake will pursue him, saying: 'I am your treasure.' It will keep pursuing him until that person puts his fingers into its mouth."
