"أيما رجل باع سلعة فأدرك سلعته بعينها عند رجل وقد أفلس ولم يكن قبض من ثمنها شيئا فهي له وإن كان قبض ¤ من ثمنها شيئا فهي أسوة الغرماء"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Any man who sells some goods, then finds his very own goods with the man (the buyer) who has become bankrupt, and he (the seller) had not received anything of its price, then the goods are his. And if he had received some part of its price, then he will be treated (with regard to the remaining goods) the same as the other creditors."
