«ألا أعلمك كلمات تقولينها؟ سبحان الله عدد خلقه سبحان الله عدد خلقه سبحان الله عدد خلقه سبحان الله رضا نفسه سبحان الله رضا نفسه سبحان الله رضا نفسه سبحان الله زنة عرشه سبحان الله زنة عرشه سبحان الله زنة عرشه سبحان الله مداد كلماته سبحان الله مداد كلماته سبحان الله مداد كلماته»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Shall I not teach you words that you should recite? (They are:) 'Subhan Allahi 'adada khalqih, subhan Allahi 'adada khalqih, subhan Allahi 'adada khalqih, subhan Allahi rida nafsih, subhan Allahi rida nafsih, subhan Allahi rida nafsih, subhan Allahi zinata 'arshih, subhan Allahi zinata 'arshih, subhan Allahi zinata 'arshih, subhan Allahi midada kalimatih, subhan Allahi midada kalimatih, subhan Allahi midada kalimatih' (Glory be to Allah as many times as the number of His creation, three times; glory be to Allah as much as pleases Him, three times; glory be to Allah as much as the weight of His Throne, three times; glory be to Allah as much as the ink of His words, three times)."
