«ألا أخبركم بشيء إذا نزل برجل منكم كرب أو بلاء من أمر الدنيا دعا به ففرج عنه؟ دعاء ذي النون: لا إله إلا أنت سبحانك إني كنت من الظالمين»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Shall I not tell you of a supplication which, when some worldly distress or affliction befalls any of you and he supplicates with it, his affliction is removed? It is the supplication of Dhu al-Nun (Prophet Yunus, peace be upon him): 'La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu min al-zalimin' (There is no true deity except You; You are free of all imperfection; indeed I have been among the wrongdoers)."
