«أول مسجد وضع في الأرض المسجد الحرام ثم المسجد الأقصى وبينهما أربعون سنة ثم أينما أدركتك الصلاة بعد فصل فإن الفضل فيه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The first mosque built on the face of the earth was al-Masjid al-Haram, then al-Masjid al-Aqsa was built, and between the two (in their building) was a gap of forty years. Then after that, wherever the time of prayer comes upon you, pray there, for the virtue lies in that."
