«إني كنت نهيتكم عن زيارة القبور فزوروها لتذكركم زيارتها خيرا وكنت نهيتكم عن لحوم الأضاحي بعد ثلاث فكلوا وأمسكوا ما شئتم وكنت نهيتكم عن الأشربة في الأوعية فاشربوا في أي وعاء شئتم ولا تشربوا مسكرا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I had forbidden you to visit graves; now visit them, so that visiting them may remind you of good. And I had forbidden you to keep the meat of the sacrificial animals after three days; now eat it yourselves and keep as much as you wish. And I had forbidden you to keep drinks in (certain) vessels; now drink from whatever vessel you wish, but do not drink anything intoxicating."
