«إني فرطكم على الحوض وإن عرضه كما بين أيلة إلى الجحفة، إني لست أخشى عليكم أن تشركوا بعدي ولكن أخشى عليكم الدنيا أن تنافسوا فيها وتقتتلوا فتهلكوا كما هلك من كان قبلكم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I am your forerunner at the Pond, and its width is like the distance between Aylah and al-Juhfah. Indeed, I do not fear for you that you will associate partners with Allah after me, but I fear the world for you, that you will compete with one another in it, fight one another and be destroyed as those before you were destroyed."
