"إني راكب غدا إلى يهود فمن انطلق منكم ¤ معي فلا تبدءوهم بالسلام فإن سلموا عليكم فقولوا: وعليكم"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Tomorrow I am riding out to the Jews, so whoever of you goes with me should not greet them with salam first, and if they greet you with salam, then say (in reply): 'Wa alaykum' (and upon you too)."
