«إنما مثل الجليس الصالح وجليس السوء كحامل المسك ونافخ الكير فحامل المسك إما أن يحذيك وإما أن تبتاع منه وإما أن تجد منه ريحا طيبة ونافخ الكير إما أن يحرق ثيابك وإما أن تجد ريحا خبيثة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The likeness of a good companion and a bad companion is that of one who carries musk and one who blows on a blacksmith's bellows. The one carrying musk will either give you some as a gift, or you will buy some from him, or (at the very least) you will find a pleasant fragrance from him. And the one blowing the bellows will either burn your clothes, or (at the very least) you will certainly find a foul smell from him."
