«إنما ذلك عرق فانظري فإذا أتى قرؤك فلا تصلي فإذا مر قرؤك فتطهري ثم صلي ما بين القرء إلى القرء»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"This is only (the blood of) a vein (that is, istihadah). So watch carefully: when the days of your menstrual period come, do not pray; and when the days of your period have passed, purify yourself, then pray during the interval between one period and the next."
