«إنما خيرني الله فقال: {اسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَوْ لا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ إِنْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً} وسأزيده على سبعين»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Allah Almighty has given me a choice, and He said: 'Ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; even if you ask forgiveness for them seventy times' [Surah at-Tawbah: 80]. So I will ask forgiveness for them more than seventy times."
