«إن لهذه البيوت عوامر فإذا رأيتم شيئا منها فحرجوا عليها ثلاثا فإن ذهب وإلا فاقتلوه فإنه كافر»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, these houses have certain dwellers (jinn), so when you see any of them (a snake or the like), then strictly warn them (admonish them) for three days; if it goes away, well and good, otherwise kill it, for it is a disbeliever (a rebellious devil)."
