«إن للصلاة أولا وآخرا وإن أول وقت صلاة الظهر حين تزول الشمس وآخر وقتها حين يدخل وقت العصر وإن أول وقت العصر حين يدخل وقتها وإن آخر وقتها حين تصفر الشمس وإن أول وقت المغرب حين تغرب الشمس وإن آخر وقتها حين يغيب الشفق وإن أول وقت العشاء الآخرة حين يغيب الشفق وإن آخر وقتها حين ينتصف الليل وإن أول وقت الفجر حين يطلع الفجر وإن آخر وقتها حين تطلع الشمس»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the prayer has an earliest time and a latest time. The earliest time of the Zuhr prayer is when the sun passes its zenith, and its latest time is when the time of Asr begins. The earliest time of Asr is when its time begins, and its latest time is when the sun turns yellow. The earliest time of Maghrib is when the sun sets, and its latest time is when the twilight (redness) disappears. The earliest time of Isha is when the twilight disappears, and its latest time is when half the night has passed. And the earliest time of Fajr is when the (true) dawn appears, and its latest time is when the sun rises."
